For more than 30 years, the Daily Inter Lake and its sister papers have bridged the gap between classrooms and the real world through our Newspapers In Education (NIE) initiative. Newspapers in the Classroom Support: • Language, Vocabulary and Math Skills • Lifelong Learning • Involved Citizens • Informed Consumers • Critical Thinking • Entertainment and Recreation • Local and Global Awareness The Daily Inter Lake is reaching out for financial support for the more than 130,000 newspapers we deliver to schools in Flathead, Lake and Lincoln counties each year – at a cost of nearly $35,000 annually.
